MATCHING GIFTS

Many businesses will match a charitable gift made by employees and retirees to an education foundation like SHEF. This is a wonderful way to double the value of your donation. If applicable, please enclose your company’s matching gift form with your donation to SHEF

About Our Fundraisers

Take A Seat
BHS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

take a seat

Imagine your name or that of a loved one, graduate, family, business, alumni
or faculty member on a beautifully laser engraved plaque on the armrest of one of the 1000 seats in the Somerset Hills
School District Performing Arts Center located at Bernards High School.

Your plaque may be given in honor of, or in memory of, someone, and will be acknowledged with a letter from SHEF.

Your tax-deductible donation to SHEF will put you, your family, or a loved one in the spotlight! Choose your section and create a lasting impression with up to 20 characters each on 1, 2, or 3 lines of
your plaque.

Staff Tributes
HONOR A TEACHER OR STAFF MEMBER

STAFF TRIBUTES

A minimum $10 donation in the name of that staff member is a meaningful and memorable end-of-year recognition of teachers, coaches, counselors, support staff members or administrators, who have made an impact on your child's school experience this year.

All proceeds go to SHEF's Classroom Grants Fund which has awarded more than $361,000 towards innovative grants in the visual and performing arts, literacy, social studies, character development, physical education, math and science.

All tributes are confidential.  Only the honored staff member is notified of your SHEF donation on the last day of school, when each honoree will receive a SHEF congratulatory letter to recognize the tribute from your family.  The letter will identify your family name to that honoree only – the donation amount will not be included.

The Somerset Hills Education Foundation's eighth annual Staff Tribute Program is now underway! A SHEF Staff Tribute is a way to acknowledge the efforts of the many dedicated Somerset Hills School District staff members.

Endowment Fund
PLANNING FOR SHEF'S FUTURE

PETER J MILLER ENDOWMeNT FUND

Establishing an endowment in the name of Pete Miller recognizes his many contributions, his values and his long-term commitment to The Somerset Hills School District (SHSD).

By establishing this fund the SHEF Trustees are planning for the foundation’s future – honoring its long-term commitment to promote and provide education opportunities by funding innovative programs and projects for the benefit of the students of the SHSD.

In the Endowment Fund’s inaugural year, through the generosity of SHEF supporters, we have raised in honor of Peter Miller’s 35 years of dedication to the district.  SHEF is looking forward to the continued support of the Endowment Fund by parents, alumnus and community members who share our commitment to the students of the SHSD.

The SHEF Trustees are thrilled to announce the establishment of the Peter J. Miller Endowment Fund to honor Superintendent Pete Miller who retired on June 30, 2013 after serving the district admirably for 35 years.
